"I can only show you the door..."

If we could describe the first Matrix movie in a simple sentence, it would be “There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.” The theme is often repeated in more than one character. But two more factors are equally important: the difference between running away from the path and ignoring it altogether.

One of Denzel Washington’s popular quotes on Youtube is to not “aspire to make a living. Aspire to make a difference.” But what does making a difference mean? How does this difference work with man’s natural desire to stand out?

What is the “Smith” Age? What does daily life in it look like?

Anyone that has seen the Matrix trilogy would remember Agent Smith and his journey. How at first his purpose was to get access codes to Zion’s mainframe to destroy mankind, then later wanting to get out of the Matrix himself. In the second movie viewers saw how he copied himself into other people and basically made a Smith civilization within the system. But out here in the real world outside of the movie, what do we refer to? What do we mean when we say, “Humanity is currently in the Smith age”?
